Virus Free N64 Emulator Mac
I'm a 19 yr old who recently realized how much of an impact N64 made on my childhood. I actually at one point had over 166 N64 games. I went on youtube and found some of my favorite N64 games and the memories came rushing back. I never knew what nostalgia was until recently and now I just what to play N64 so. I never knew what nostalgia was until recently and now I just what to play N64 so bad. I still have mine but I lost many of the games over the years. I know nothing about emulators at all. I need to ask, where do you find emulators and are there any safe ones you can recommend? Any extra info on emulators would be nice also.

I'm unsure as to what you mean by 'safe' however. If you mean virus free, well any of the well known ones will be free of virii.
If you're meaning they don't infringe on copyright, that's an entirely different matter all together. The emulator software itself in almost every case does NOT infringe on the copyright however, an emulator requires an image file of a game to play. These are referred to as ROMs, and the legals of these are a bit more difficult. Because we're talking N64 most of the commercial games released for it haven't been termed abandonware yet and thus downloading a ROM of such a game would infringe on copyright.
However, downloading a abandonware or freeware title ROM wouldn't infringe on copyright. Basically any of the emulators on this page will be virus free and won't violate copyright. What you do about ROMs is your business. Well here are 3 of the better N64 emulators(and versions of the emulators). 1964 v1.1 runs most games at decent speed, some glitches on some games though (like zelda inventory takes like 30secs to open), but it has a nice cheat section for some fun.
